Malik Rose

Former San Antonio Spurs forward Malik Rose was one of four honored Monday when the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame announced its 2019 class.

Rose played 13 seasons in the NBA, winning championships with the San Antonio Spurs in 1999 and 2003.

Rose signed as a free agent with San Antonio in 1997 and averaged 7.2 points and 4.7 rebounds a game. He was traded to New York in 2005 and finished his career with Oklahoma City in 2009. Rose appeared in 813 NBA regular season games where he averaged 6.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in 16.5 minutes per game. He was recently named an assistant general manager for the Detroit Pistons.
